How Close Is Nashville Swim Academy to Your Neighborhood?

July 21, 2026

You've probably driven by or through The Nations more times than you can count without ever realizing that Middle Tennessee’s premier learn-to-swim program, Nashville Swim Academy, now calls this neighborhood home.

NSA began as an offshoot of the Ensworth Swim School program, but as demand grew, so too did our program. By the summer of 2024, we’d expanded to five pool locations across Greater Nashville, while plans to build a new, state-of-the-art swimming pool that focused on families and what they truly wanted in their ideal swim program were already underway.

Our flagship facility officially launched in The Nations at 1105 63rd Ave N in November 2025, bringing together everything you've come to expect from an award-winning
swim lessons program in Nashville that has seen thousands of young swimmers pass through our doors.

If you've been wondering whether the new location is close enough for your family, we’ve mapped that out for you, giving you an at-a-glance resource for enrolling your kids in swim lessons this season.

There are no cars using our lot as a thoroughfare to other venues, and our streamlined digital check-in system and color-coded wristbands make for an extremely efficient transition into the pool area.

Why It’s Worth the Drive to NSA

NSA sits in a central location on Nashville's west side with easy access from I-40 and downtown, making us close to most communities across Middle Tennessee.

Families from surrounding communities tell us they’ve stayed with Nashville Swim Academy because they value year-round lessons, professionally trained instructors, and our low student-to-teacher ratios. Our structured progression helps children build confidence and skills through every stage of their swim journey, while the relationships we've built with families over the years make the drive worthwhile. It may be a little farther now from Franklin, Fairview, Bellevue, Hendersonville, and White House, but many parents feel the benefits are well worth the trip.

Unlike facilities that operate out of recreation centers and community centers, NSA is a
swimming pool in Nashville, TN, built specifically for children's swim instruction. Every design detail reflects our founder, Krysten Call's, years of experience as a collegiate swimmer, swim instructor, swim coach, and owner of one of Middle Tennessee's most respected learn-to-swim programs. You'll notice that experience in features like our:

  • 88°F pool
  • Advanced filtration system
  • Five pool-deck showers
  • Three family restrooms
  • Eleven curtained changing stalls
  • Mirrors and blow dryers
  • Spacious, air-conditioned viewing area with large windows

A Premier Swim Lesson Program Centrally Located Within the Nashville Metro Area

When swim lessons aren’t a 45-minute trek from home or school, it's easier to keep up with weekly routines that help children develop their skills more efficiently and effectively. Spending less time commuting means less rushing after work or school and an easier schedule for the whole family.

Nashville Swim Academy guides swimmers through three natural phases of swimming development: FUNdamentals, SAFEty, and TECHnique. It’s a program designed to meet every swimmer where they are in age, comfort level, and experience. So whether they're splashing through Parent & Me classes, building important foundations as toddlers, learning essential water safety and swim skills during the primary school years, or refining technique through concentrated stroke development, every swimmer receives the support they need to prove to themselves that with practice and persistence, they can achieve what they’ve set out to achieve. A life lesson that extends far beyond our NSA footprint.

While there are plenty of
Nashville swimming pools, Nashville Swim Academy offers something different: a purpose-built swim school with a thoughtfully designed learning process, experienced instructors, and an environment created specifically for teaching children. That's why families who want their children to develop a lifelong skill—and confidently enjoy pools, summer camps, vacations, and time around the water—continue to make swimming in Nashville at NSA a weekly priority.
