What does the $25 registration fee include?
The $25 registration covers one child’s participation in the triathlon, a special award and treat at the end of the event, and access to the community pool party following the race. A portion of each registration also supports Swim Across America—helping fight cancer right here in Nashville.
When and where is the event?
The event will take place on June 6 from 1:00–3:00 PM at Nashville Swim Academy. The course will be set up around our building and parking lot.
Does my child need to be an experienced swimmer or athlete?
Not at all. This event is designed for all ability levels. The focus is on participation, confidence, and having a positive experience—not competition.
Is caregiver participation required?
Yes. Each child must have one caregiver with them throughout the entire event. Caregivers will accompany their child during the swim, bike, and run portions and assist with transitions along the way.
What should we bring?
- A bike or scooter
- A properly fitting helmet (required)
- Closed-toe shoes (recommended)
- Swimsuit and towel
- Water bottle
Are helmets really required?
Yes—helmets are required for all participants during the biking portion of the event. This is non-negotiable and part of our commitment to safety.
What kind of bike is allowed?
Children can use bikes or scooters. Please ensure all equipment is in safe working condition before arriving.
What should my child wear?
Swimwear for the pool portion and comfortable clothing for biking and running. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for safety during the course.
How is the course set up?
The course will be clearly marked and take place around our facility and parking lot. Our team will be positioned throughout to guide families, assist with transitions, and keep everything moving smoothly.
How do transitions work?
Caregivers will help their child move from one portion of the event to the next (swim → bike → run). Our staff will provide direction and support at each stage.
Will there be staff on-site for safety?
Yes. Our team will be actively managing the event, monitoring all areas of the course, and supporting families throughout. We ask all participants to follow staff instructions and remain within designated areas.
What happens if there is bad weather?
If weather impacts the event, we will communicate any updates or changes as early as possible via email and/or text.
Can families stay for the pool party afterward?
Yes! The triathlon will be followed by a community pool party where families can relax, celebrate, and enjoy time together.
Is this a competitive race?
No. This is a participation-based event focused on building confidence, encouraging movement, and creating a positive experience for every child.
